The following deaths have occurred in the Leitrim area:

Cissie Tighe, Mullagh, Co Cavan / Belturbet, Co Cavan

Cissie Tighe, Rahulton, Castlesaunderson and Mullagh, peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Kilmainhamwood Nursing Home, sadly missed by her family. Retired house keeper of the late Fr Paddy Morris and the late Fr Dan Gallogly. Reposing at Matthew's Funeral Home, Baileborough Road, Virgina on Tuesday 21st November from 5pm to 8pm Funeral home private on Wednesday. Removal on Wednesday morning to St Killian's Church to arrive for 11 am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St Patrick's Cemetery, Drumalee, Belturbet, Cavan. Family flowers only, donation, if desired, to Irish Heart foundation in c/o Peter Duffy Funeral Director.

Sr. Carmel McCrann, Strokestown, Co Roscommon

McCrann (Dublin) 20 November 2017. Sr Carmel rsc. Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Loyola St. Mary’s Merrion. Formerly of Strokestown Co. Roscommon. Deeply regretted by her sisters Tona and Nuala, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, relatives, her community and all Sisters of Charity, and friends. Reposing at the Chapel of St. Mary’s Centre, Merrion today, Tuesday, 21 Nov., from 2pm. until 4pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, 22 Nov., at 10.30am followed by burial in the Community Cemetery, Donnybrook.

Mary Lannon (née Symth), Cloonfad, Rooskey, Co Roscommon

Mary Lannon (nee Smyth), Cloonfad, Rooskey, Co. Roscommon, November 18th, 2017 in her 92nd year. Peacefully, at Roscommon University Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Bernie. Sadly missed by her heartbroken family, son John, daughter-in-law, Shelia, grandchildren Finn, Cian, Aoife, sister Sr Roisín, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends. Removal this morning to Church of Our Lady Mount Carmel, Rooskey, for funeral Mass at 11:30am. Burial afterwards in Kilglass Cemetery.

Kevin Joyce, Belturbet, Co. Cavan

Kevin Joyce, 32 Sean Lee Drive, Belturbet, Co. Cavan and formerly Manchester, England on Wednesday, November 15th 2017, peacefully in the loving care of the staff at St. Christopher’s Hospice, Cavan. Sadly missed by his brothers Robin and Martin, sisters-in-law Paula and Lyndsay, nephews, nieces, neighbours all his relatives and his many friends in Belturbet and Manchester. Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan, today, Tuesday, November 21, from 12 noon until removal at 1.30pm to St. Mary’s Church, Staghall, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Cremation will follow at Lakelands, Cavan. No flowers please, donations in lieu, would be appreciated to the Patient Comfort Fund, St. Christopher's Hospice, Cavan c/o McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan, or donation box in the church.
