The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas:

James Thomas Wilson, Rafian, Belturbet, Cavan

James Thomas Wilson, Rafian, Belturbet, Co. Cavan, Thursday, November, 30th peacefully in the loving care of his family and the staff at Oakview Nursing Home, Belturbet. Very sadly missed by his loving wife Iris, daughter Miriam, son James, daughter-in-law Valerie, son-in-law Ivan, grandchildren Thomas, William and Lauren, nieces, nephews, relatives and extended family. Resting at the family home today, Friday, from 12 noon until 5pm. Removal this evening (Fri) arriving at Drumlane Parish Church at 7pm. Funeral Service tomorrow, (Sat) at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Friends of Oakview Nursing Home, Belturbet and Breffni Care Centre, Ballyconnell, c/o Clive Magee, Funeral Director or any family member.

Phyllis Kernahan (née Clinton) Drumlease, Dromahair, Leitrim

Peacefully at St. Phelim’s Nursing Home, Dromahair. Reposing at Fowley’s Funeral Home, Dromahair today, Thursday, from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Service today, Friday, in St. Patrick’s Church, Dromahair at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Creevelea Abbey New Cemetery.

Bridie McTernan (née Mitchell) High Street, Ballinamore, Leitrim

Peacefully at Sligo University Hospital, predeceased by her husband Tony. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Ann, Veronica and Deirdre and her son David, her brother Owen (Cloone), her sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace. Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon, followed by burial in Oughteragh Cemetery.

Eileen Shannon (née Clayton), Carrowkeel, Kingsland, Boyle, Roscommon

Peacefully at her residence in her 92nd year. Sadly missed by her son Michael daughters Ann, Eileen and Mary, grandchildren, great grandchild, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, sister Joan (London), nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Mass of Christian burial on Friday at 12 o'clock in Breedogue Church. Funeral afterwards to Killaraght Old Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Mayo/Roscommon Hospice, c/o Mahon’s Funeral Directors, Boyle. House Strictly Private Please.

Patrick Moffatt, Drumboylan, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon

The death has occurred of Patrick Moffatt Lurga, Drumboylan, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon on Sunday, 26th November 2017 (suddenly). Predeceased by his father Patrick and mother Mary. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Martina, daughter Cheryl, brother Hughie (U.S.A), sisters Margaret O'Flynn (Hillstreet), Colette Coulter (Drumshanbo), uncle John Kelly (Drumkeerin), father-in-law Michael James, mother-in-law Vera, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, work colleagues, neighbours, relatives and a large circle of friends. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church, Drumboylan,on Friday at 12 o'clock with funeral afterwards to Kilronan Cemetery. H
