Leitrim deaths

The following deaths have occurred in the Leitrim area:

Pat Murnane, Belturbet, Co Cavan

The death has occurred of Pat Murnane, Railway Road, Belturbet, Co. Cavan. Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, 9th December 2017. Deeply regretted by his loving family, sisters, Patricia, Monica and Peggy, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces relatives and friends. Remains will be reposing at the residence of his sister Peggy Gray, 3 Sean Lee Drive, Belturbet today, Sunday from 4pm until 8pm. Remains will arrive at The Church of The Immaculate Conception, Belturbet on Monday for Funeral Mass 2pm with burial afterwards in Drumalee Cemetery.

John McGowan, Tawlaughtmore, Mohill, Leitrim

McGowan, Tawlaughtmore, Mohill, Co Leitrim, December 7, 2017, unexpectedly and peacefully at his home. John, beloved husband of the late Nellie and dear father of Sean, Michael, Mel, Miriam and Finola. Sadly missed by his loving family, brother Fr. Michael (Rathcoole), sister Mary, son-in-law Proinsias, daughter-in-law Mary, grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at the home of his daughter Finola, Main Street, Dromod today, Sunday from 2pm until 4pm followed by removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Mohill to arrive at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11 am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary Rose (Rose) Phibbs (Butler Phibbs), Corbally House, Tulsk, Roscommon

Phibbs (Butler Phibbs), Mary Rose (better known as Rose), Corbally House, Tulsk, Castlerea, County Roscommon, November 26, suddenly in England. Daughter of the late George and Catherine Phibbs and much loved and only sister of Margaret. She will be sadly missed by Margaret, cousins, relatives and friends. Arriving for reception at St. Eithne and Fidelma Church, Tulsk on Monday, December 11th 2017, at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday, December 12th 2017, at 12 noon to be followed by internment in Elphin Cemetery (old Cemetery).
