The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas.
Orla Parkinson, Gortnalibbert, Manorhamilton, Leitrim / Templeogue, Dublin
The death has occurred of Orla Parkinson of Gortnalibbert, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim and formerly of Templeogue, Dublin. Sadly missed by her loving husband Scott and children Oisin, Nuala and Olivia, her sister Siobhan and husband Roger, brother Padraig and Mary, her nephew Matthew and Louisa, devoted cousins, relatives and large circle of friends.
Removal to St Clare's Church, Manorhamilton on Wednesday evening to arrive at 8.30pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10am followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery, Shankill, County Dublin arriving between 2 and 2.30pm approximately. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Pieta House. House private please.
Anne Tierney (née O'Connor), Foxhall, Tuam, Galway / Ballinaglera, Leitrim
Unexpectedly, Anne (predeceased by her husband Michael and son-in-law P.J.) deeply regretted by her loving family, son John, daughter Geraldine, daughter-in-law Ainé, grandchildren David, Michael, Adrian and Karl, great-granddaughter Vienna Rose, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and dear friends. Funeral Mass at Carras Church on Wednesday at 12.00 noon followed by burial in Kilconly Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
Patrick (Paddy) Mannion, Bridge Street, Strokestown, Roscommon
The death has occurred of Patrick (Paddy) Mannion, 176 Wood End Gardens, Northholt, Middlesex, London UB54QW and formerly of Bridge Street, Strokestown, Co. Roscommon. Paddy will be sadly missed by his wife Breege, son Emmet, daughter Ailish, son in law Liam, grandchildren Keegan and Kaiden, relatives and his many friends. Funeral arrangements later.
Nancy McGinnity (née Fitzpatrick), Donaghmoyne Road, Carrickmacross, Monaghan / Belturbet, Cavan
The death has occurred of Nancy McGinnity (née Fitzpatrick). Donaghmoyne Road, Carrickmacross and formerly Belturbet, Co. Cavan and 'Nancy's' shop, O'Neill Street, Carrickmacross. 13th May 2018. Peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff of Castleross Nursing Home, Carrickmacross, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jim, her daughter Bernie and son-in-law Noel (Tumelty). Sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, Maureen (Rooney, Carrickmacross), Gerry (Dublin), Ann (Dublin) and Seamus (Carrickmacross), daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Maureen (O'Connell), brother Jimmy, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Removal on Wednesday, 16th May, on foot, arriving to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Carrickmacross. House private on Wednesday morning please.
Denis (Dinny) Duffy Ballyduffy, Moyne, Longford
Predeceased by his brothers John, Larry, Fr Pat, (USA) Matt (UK), sister Maureen and Kenny (Corglass). Sadly missed by his nieces Mary O'Hara, Liz Walker and Clare Kenny, nephew John Kenny and his nieces and nephews in the UK.
Reposing at Connell's Funeral Home, Church St., Battery Road, Longford on Wednesday evening from 7pm to 9pm with removal on Thursday morning to St. Francis' Church, Moyne arriving for 12 noon Funeral Mass, burial afterwards in Legga Cemetery.
