Deaths in Leitrim and surrounding areas - September 19, 2018

The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas:

Margaret Casey (née McTiernan), Sheegora, Boyle, Roscommon

Margaret Casey née McTiernan, Sheegora, Boyle, Co. Roscommon. September 16th 2018. Peacefully, surrounded by her devoted family and in the tender care of the staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by her brothers Alphie and Jim. Sadly missed by her loving husband Paddy, sons Padraig and Philip, daughter Concepta, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers Patsy, John, Peter and Declan, sisters Myra and Pauline, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and her many friends. Removal on Wednesday morning to St. Joseph’s Church, Boyle, arriving for Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Aughanagh Cemetery, Ballinafad. House private to family on Wednesday morning please.

John Beirne, Knockglass, Ballinameen, Boyle, Roscommon

Peacefully at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle. Sadly missed by his brothers Cyril and Tommy, nephews, nieces, sister in-law, relatives and a large circle of friends. Reposing at Mahon's Funeral Home, Boyle on Tuesday, September 18th from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock. Mass of Christian burial at Attracta's Church, Ballinameen on Wednesday at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to Caldra Cemetery.

September 18th at his residence.Deeply regretted by his loving sons Brendan & Kevin, daughter Aishling, brother Hugh, sister Collette, grandchildren Joshua, Killian, Ellie & Nicola, aunts, uncles, nephews, niece, relatives & friends. Reposing at his residence tomorrow Wednesday from 2 o'clock until 10 o'clock with removal on Thursday to Lakeland Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan for cremation at 2 o'clock. House private at all other times please. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Irish cancer society or Palliative care Cavan.

Paul O’Reilly, Naas, Kildare / Ballyshannon, Donegal

O’Reilly (Nass, Co. Kildare and formerly of Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal) – September 17th 2018 surrounded by his family at St. James Hospital. Paul; dearly beloved husband of Margaret, much loved father of Ciara, Grainne and Aoife, stepfather of Valerie, Trisha, Bernie, Gillian and Philip and brother of the late Niall. Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, stepchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren Sósaidh, Alannah and Oisín, his 11 step-grandchildren, brothers Robin and John, sister Fiona, extended family and friends, especially David and Kate (Donegal).

Reposing at Murphy Brothers Funeral Home, Church Lane, Nass on Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm with family present. Removal on Thursday afternoon to Newlands Cross Crematorium, Ballymount Road, D24 arriving for 1pm Civil Funeral Service. House Private. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to ASH Animal Rescue (www.ashanimalrescue.com). Donation box at rear of Church beside Condolence Book.

Deeply regretted by his brothers Roger and Frank, sister Teresa (Costello), sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, Patrician Brothers Community Newbridge, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at the Patrician Brothers Monastery, Naas Rd, Newbridge on Wednesday from 3 o'clock with Removal on Wednesday evening to arrive at St. Conleth’s Parish Church at 6.30 o’clock. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock with burial afterwards in St. Conleth’s Cemetery, Newbridge.
