Deaths in Leitrim - Wednesday October 17, 2018

The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas:

Bernadette Doonan, Edergole, Cloone, Leitrim

The death has occurred of Bernadette Doonan, Edergole, Cloone, Co. Leitrim, Tuesday 16th October, 2018 peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Pre-deceased by her parents Frank and Cathleen, her brothers; John Francis, Joe, Brian, Gerald Christopher, Jim and Vincent, her sisters; Brigid Francis, Maggie, Mary Theresa, Philomena, Mary Clare, Carmel and Trudy.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her heartbroken son; Micheal, her brothers; Des (USA), Kevin (USA) and Declan (Cloone), her sisters; Maggie Bulger ( USA), Fidelma (USA), Josephine ( Limerick) and Dympna Reilly (Mohill), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Sr. Mary Bohan D.C. Blackrock, Dublin / Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim

Bohan, Sr Mary DC, St. Catherine’s Provincial House, Dunardagh, Temple Hill, Blackrock, Co. Dublin and late of Moneyroe, Gorvagh, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim – October 17th, 2018, peacefully in the loving care of Our Lady’s Hospice, Blackrock. Predeceased by her parents, Tilly and John Richard and her brother Ritty. Deeply regretted by her sisters, Tilda, Theresa and Tina, brother-in-law Jim, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, her Community of the Daughters of Charity, relatives and friends.

Reposing at St. Catherine’s Provincial House, Friday, 19th October, from 3.00p.m. prior to prayers at 7.30 p.m. Funeral Mass Saturday at 10.30 a.m. in St. Catherine’s followed by burial in Deansgrange Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to Our Lady’s Hospice, Blackrock, Co. Dublin.

Margaret Clarke (née Trimble) Sunnybank, Station Road, Carrick-on-Shannon, Roscommon / Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim

Margaret Clarke. Peacefully at her residence. Beloved wife of the late Des. Deeply regretted by her brothers-in-law Kevin and Dermot, sisters-in-law Marina and Patsy, relatives and friends. Remains will be reposing on Wednesday at her residence from 4 to 6 pm. Removal on Thursday morning to St. Michael's Church, Drumlion for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Drumlion Cemetery. House private at all other times.

Bridget (Breda) McNally (née Holton) Shannon Lodge, Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim

Bridget (Breda) McNally (nee Holton), Shannon Lodge, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co.Leitrim and formerly Clonaugh, Moyvalley, Co.Kildare. Tuesday October 16th 2018 (peacefully) in the loving care of the nurses, doctors and staff at Lough Erril Private Nursing Home, Mohill. Predeceased by her brother William Holton and sister-in-law Irene McNally. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband Aidan, sons Conor (Dublin), Shane (Carrick-on-Shannon), Paula (Scotland), Brenda (Carrick-on-Shannon), Joanne (Dublin), grandchildren Aisling, Niamh, Sinead and Zoe, great grandchildren Rian, Caoimhe, Oisin and Cillian, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister Sr. Ann Holton (Carlow), brothers Jimmy and Peter, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Lough Erril Private Nursing Home, Oratory, Mohill on Wednesday, from 3 o'clock until 5 o'clock with removal to St. Mary's Church, Carrick-on-Shannon, arriving at 6 o'clock. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 12 o'clock with funeral afterwards to St. Mary's Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if so desired, to Alzheimers Society of Ireland. House Private Please.

Colin Bogue, Straheglin, Belturbet, Co. Cavan

The death has occurred of Colin Bogue, Straheglin, Belturbet, Co. Cavan (14th October) suddenly at his residence. Deeply regretted by his partner Michelle, daughters Rebecca and Hannah, son Dillon, his heartbroken parents Johnny and Margaret, brothers Anthony, Ciaran and Declan, Sister-in-law Clare, uncles, aunts, nieces, relatives and friends.

Remains will be reposing at the residence of his parents in Straheglin until removal of remains on Wednesday evening at 6.30pm to arrive at the Church of Immaculate Conception, Belturbet for 7pm. Funeral Mass at 11am on Thursday with burial afterwards in Staghall Cemetery.

Fr. Eamonn McMahon C.S.SP Sligo/Leitrim

McMahon, Fr. Eamonn C.S.Sp. (late of Sligo, Leitrim, Nigeria and Brazil), 5th October 2018 in Brazil. Fr. Eamonn was buried following Funeral Mass in the Church of Getsemani in São Paulo on Saturday 6th October. Brother of the late Angela, Gabrielle, Seán and Sr. Teresa SSL. Deeply regretted by brothers Bernie, Liam, Noel and Peter, sisters Camilla (Barrett), Margaret (Herriott) and Marie Celine (Bradshaw), the extended McMahon family and his fellow Spiritans.

Memorial Masses will be celebrated in Kimmage Manor on Saturday, 27th October, at 11.30 am. and on Saturday, 17th November, at 12 noon in St. Patrick’s Church, Dromahair, Co. Leitrim.

Henry Figg, Tarmonbarry, Roscommon / Sligo / Longford

Henry will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, partner Joan (Fogarty) and her children John and Laura, his sons Jason and Sean and their mother Christine, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brother, sister, relatives and friends. Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford on Thursday from 4pm until 6pm. Private cremation will take place on Friday in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Oncology Unit at The Regional Hospital,Tullamore, c/o Glennon Funeral Directors or any family member.
