Deaths in Leitrim - Thursday October 25, 2018

The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas:

Pat (Paddy) Connolly, Tullylannon, Leitrim Village, Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim

Pat (Paddy) Connolly (Retired Garda Síochána) 'Prague' Tullylannon, Leitrim Village, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim and formerly Westport. Wednesday 24th October 2018 peacefully at home following an eventful life. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Eileen (nee Woods), son Kevin (Castlebar), daughter Jacinta Doherty (Cootehall), daughter-in-law Mary, son-in-law Kevin, grandchildren Linda (London) and Paul (Australia), sisters Molly (Clonakilty) and Margaret (Wales), brother Tom (Naas), sisters-in-law Monica, Breda and Breege, brothers-in-law Finbarr and Tim, his many nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours, carers and friends.

Reposing at his home on Friday 26th October from 4pm until 8pm with removal on Saturday morning to St.Joseph's Church, Leitrim Village arriving for Mass of Christian Burial at 12 o'clock with funeral afterwards to Drumshanbo New Cemetery. House private at all other times please. Family flowers only.

Kathleen Durkin (nee Mc Donald), Farnaught, Mohill, Co. Leitrim/Carlow

Kathleen Durkin (nee Mc Donald), Farnaught, Mohill, Co. Leitrim and formerly of England and Carlow, died 24 October 2018. Peacefully, at her daughter's residence, in her 98th year. Predeceased by her husband.

Reposing at her daughter Rita Cashin's residence tomorrow, Thursday, from 5pm to 9pm. Removal to Killee Church, Carlow, on Friday morning for funeral Mass at 2pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Eileen Prior (nee Kelleher) Lecken, Aughawillan, Ballinamore, Leitrim

Peacefully at the Breffni Care Centre, Ballyconnell. She will be sadly missed by her husband Patsy, sons Peter & Patrick, daughter Regina, brothers Liam & Oliver, sister Maureen, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours & friends.

Reposing at her residence today, Wednesday, from 7pm until 10pm and on Thursday from 12 noon until 5pm. Removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Aughawillan on Thursday evening arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday morning at 11am followed by burial in Aughawillan new cemetery.

James Donnelly, St Brendans, Dublin Rd, Longford Town, Longford / Leitrim

Peacefully in St Vincent's Private Hospital, Dublin. James will be forever missed by his loving wife and best friend Eileen (nee Mac Manus), Aughakilbrack, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim.

Removal arriving to St Patrick's Church, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim on Thursday 25th for prayers at 7 o'clock. Funeral Mass on Friday 26th at 11 o'clock followed with burial in New cemetery. Family flowers only please. House Private Please

Kathleen Bohan (nee Gralton) Kiltybardan, Aughnasheelin, Leitrim

Peacefully at her home. Beloved wife of the late Michael. Deeply regretted by her daughter Mary, son Francis, daughter-in-law Mary, grandchildren Michael, Philip, Emma, Laura and Kathryn, brother Kevin Gralton (Galway), sister-in-law Mamie Gralton (Castleknock), nieces, nephews, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at St. Mary's Church, Aughnasheelin at 11.00am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Killian Flynn, Courtlands, Griffith Avenue (formerly of Tents, Lough Allen, County Leitrim)

Flynn, Killian of Courtlands, Griffith Avenue (formerly of Tents, Lough Allen, County Leitrim). Peacefully in the care of the staff of Mater Misericordiae University Hospital. Beloved husband of Mary and father of Dermot, Ciara and Colm. Predeceased by his sisters Anne (Sr. Amadeus) and Mary, and his brother Noel. Sadly missed by his daughter-in-law Sinéad, grandsons Conor, Rían and Dillon, sisters Lily and Catherine, brother Fr Joe of Kiltegan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of neighbours and friends. R.I.P.

Requiem Mass will take place at Corpus Christi Church, Griffith Avenue at 11.30am on Thursday 25th October, followed by interment at St. Brigid’s Church, Coon West, County Kilkenny. Family flowers only.

Padraig Flynn, Driney, Drumcong, Co. Leitrim

Padraig Flynn, Driney, Drumcong, Co. Leitrim. Tuesday 23rd October 2018 (peacefully) at home. Pre-deceased by his father James. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving mother Elizabeth, brothers Sean (Dublin) and Seamus (Drumshanbo), sisters Ita (Drumshanbo), Maura (England) and Geraldine (Galway), sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews Kyle, Aaron, David, Colm, Luke and Enya, grandniece Chloe, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at St.Patrick's Hospital, Mortuary, Carrick-on-Shannon on Thursday evening from 4.30 o'clock until 6.15 o'clock with removal to Brigid's Church, Drumcong arriving at 7 o'clock. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11 o'clock with funeral afterwards to adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if so desired, to a charity of your choice.

Bridget (Bridie) Tidbury (née Woods) - Lough Rynn Drive, Tawnaghmore, Mohill, Leitrim

Bridget will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, husband Valmor, daughters Fiona, Loretta and Carmen, sons Conrad, Brendan and Nigel, sister in law, brothers in law, son in law Eamon, daughter in law Tracey, grandchildren Edward Jnr., Carmen, Ethan, Courtney, Brooke, Rhys, Konrad and Amy, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Removal on Thursday to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Gortletteragh, for private mass of the Resurrection at 12.30pm, interment afterwards in Mohill Cemetery.Family flowers only please donations if desired to Sligo Hospice. c/o Glennon Funeral Directors or any family member. House private please.

Paddy Keaney - Corracloon, Kiltyclogher, Leitrim

The death has occurred of Paddy Keaney, Chester, England and formerly of Corracloon, Kiltyclogher, Co Leitrim. Funeral Mass this Saturday October 27, in St Patrick's Church, Kiltyclogher at 2pm. Burial afterwards to adjoining Cemetery.
