Deaths in Leitrim.

The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas:

Maggie Connolly (née Mc Goldrick), Cuingmore, Pontoon, Foxford, Mayo / Dromahair, Leitrim

The death has occurred peacefully of Maggie Connolly (nee Mc Goldrick) of Cuingmore, Pontoon and formerly of Dromahair, Co Leitrim. Maggie, predeceased by her husband Michael, will be dearly missed by her loving family, sons Kieran (Pontoon), Michael (Lisaniska, Knockmore) and daughter Philomena Foody (Bonniconlon) her brothers Joe (Dromahair) Jimmy (London) and John (Blackburn) her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Maggie will repose at Clarke's Funeral Home, Foxford on Sunday evening from 4.30 with removal at 6.30 to The Church of Christ the King, Knockmore arr at 7.o'clock. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11 o'clock with the funeral proceeding to Kilglass Cemetery.

Elizabeth Gray, Moyne, Longford / Rathmines, Dublin

Elizabeth , pre-deceased by her sisters Mary-Jo and Breda (Glennon), her brothers Denis (Denny) and Dan. She will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, sister-in-law Mary Jo, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends. Removal on Sunday to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Moyne for Mass of the Resurrection at 1.00pm, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Michael (Mikie) Duignan, Curraghnabainnia, Aughnasheelin, Leitrim

Suddenly, at his home. Predeceased by his sisters Mary and Margaret and his brother Francie. Deeply regretted by his brother Paul, sister Kathleen (England) nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Shivnahan's Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon on Sunday 10th March from 4.30pm to 6.00pm followed by Removal to St. Mary's Church, Aughnasheelin arriving at 7.00pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11 o clock. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Patrick (Paddy) O'Hara, Castle Street, Manorhamilton, Leitrim

The death has occurred of Paddy O'Hara of Castle Street, Manorhamilton and formerly of Brackarymore, Manorhamilton in his 97th year, peacefully at St. Phelim's Nursing Home, Dromahair surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his wife Katie and sons Frank and Gerard. Sadly missed by his sons Seamus and Brendan, his daughter Mary, daughters in law Kathleen and Pauline, son in law Philip, his sisters Mrs Pattie Coyle (Manorhamilton) and Mrs Agnes Woods (England), his brothers James (Australia), John Joe (Castlebar), Alphonsus (Kildare), his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 1.30pm at St. Clare's Church, Manorhamilton followed by burial in Mullies cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to St. Phelim's Nursing Home Patient Comfort Fund. House private please.

Mary Brennan, Cashel, Boyle, Roscommon

Peacefully, but unexpectedly, after a short illness in the loving care of the staff of Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle. Pre-deceased by her sister Eileen Lannon and her brother Jim. Deeply mourned by her brother Paddy, (Ballinasloe), her nephews Martin and James Lannon, niece Mary Scally (née Lannon) (Boyle). Her nieces and nephews Tommy, Anne, Padraic, David and Deirdre (Ballinasloe) extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends. Mary will lie in repose at the home of her niece Mary Scally and her husband Noel's home, Cashel, Boyle. Eircode (F52A300). Reposing from 3.00pm to 7.00pm today, Sunday 10th. Funeral arriving at St. Joseph's Church, Boyle on Monday morning, the 11th at 11.00am for Mass of the Resurection followed by interment in Assylinn Old Cemetery. Mary will be fondly remembered from her time working with Candon Wholesalers, Boyle.
