Carrick RFC Minis enjoy trip to watch Connacht at the Sportsgrounds - GALLERY

The 2022/23 Carrick RFC minis season came to a conclusion last Saturday with a minis blitz at Galway Corinthians followed by a trip to the Sportsground to see Connacht achieve a bonus point win against Cardiff on a scoreline of 38-19 thus earning a place in the knockout stages of the URC League.

Also at the Sportsground our minis coach Frank Barbour was the recipient of the Spirit of Rugby Award.

The Club would like to give massive thanks to all the parents for their unending support for our club. For turning up week after week with enthusiastic warriors, for all the driving across the province to blitzes, for all the help and catering at blitzes, none of this is possible without your support and seeing our largest ever number of minis in the club this year develop and improve week on week through rain, wind, hail, snow & shine (and yes we had them all in one day) is a huge boost to our club. 

More importantly, seeing their belief & confidence in themselves grow week after week has been amazing. Seeing them make new friendships with kids from other towns in our locality under the banner of our club is what it’s all about. None of this would happen without our team of committed coaches who turn up prepared and with enthusiasm week after week to give the best they can to our kids and instill in them the values of the spirit of rugby.  We won’t be resting for long …. we'll be back in the Autumn.
