Five FAI eFlow Summer Soccer Schools will be held at five venues around Leitrim during July and August as the popular summer camps were officially launched last week by Republic of Ireland senior stars Stephen Ward and Ciara Grant.
Manorhamilton, Carrick-on-Shannon, Ballinamore and Mohill will be joined for the first time by Kinlough in hosting the FAI Summer Soccer Schools, sponsored for the first time by eFlow.
Each week-long (Monday-Friday 10.30am to 3pm) school is delivered by Garda vetted FAI Qualified coaches in a safe and professional environment and is overseen by Leitrim County Council FAI Development Officer Damon Kearney.
The camps are designed to cater for all players, regardless of ability. No matter if kids are new to the game, they will learn all of the fundamental skills that a budding footballer needs. If they’re already experienced, the camps will help you hone existing talent and introduce new tricks and sessions.
On the first day of each camp, each participant will receive a full set of kit, a football and a backpack – all exclusive to the eFlow FAI Summer Soccer Schools!
Speaking at the launch, Republic of Ireland and Wolves defender Stephen Ward said “The eFlow FAI Summer Soccer Schools are an exciting place to be this summer. I have no doubt that kids from all over the country will be eager to get out on the pitch in the aftermath of supporting myself and the rest of the boys in green in Poland. The camps are great fun and a super opportunity to build your football skills in a safe environment.”
Damon Kearney FAI/LCC Development Officer said, “Over the past few years the camps have gone from strength to strength as numbers have grown each year. The week always a fantastic week for our young players as the coaching staffs always ensure that each day is fresh and fun. It is great to see the enjoyment at each venue throughout the county.’’
There are 4 camps running throughout Leitrim at: Abbey Rovers FC July 16-20; Kinlough July 23-27: Carrick Town FC July 30-August 3; Mohill NS August 6-10; Manor Rangers August 13-17.
Due to the camps’ increasing popularity, interested participants are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.
