Manager Ian Baraclough, who joined the club just a matter of days before the start of the 2012 season has been nominated as has club captain Danny Ventre and two of the club’s best players last year - Jason McGuinness and Mark Quigley.

Also in contention for the personality of the year award are Drogheda United manager Mick Cooke and Derry City manager Declan Devine.

The other SWAI award is the goalkeeper of the year and again Sligo Rovers are represented as Gary Rogers has been nominated along with Gerard Doherty (Derry City) and Gabriel Sava (Drogheda United).
