Mohill Community Games
Congrats to all of the children from the Mohill Area who took part in the HSE Community Games at the weekend in Athlone IT. In the County Team Under 14 mixed distance relay Dearbhaile Beirne, Mohill took 4th place medal along with her team mates Dara Morohan, Elise and Kasey Bruen. This was a wonderful achievement for the girls as they had only got together twice as a County Team to train. On Saturday they secured a place in the final as they came 3rd in the heats. On Sunday they went onto the final and each member of the relay team ran a very good race in extreme warm weather which the girls were not climatised to. In the under 12 boys county relay Cormac White and Jordan Reynolds both ran very well as did Chloe Cunningham, Peter O’Neill and James McNabola all contributed and ran a wonderful race in the Under 13 County Mixed Team. Amy Cosgrave represented Leitrim very well in Solo Recetitation. In Group dance Modern Disco under 14 from the mohill Area Emma Quinn, Emma Moran, Blathnaid Duignan, Sarah Dugdale, Roisin Burke and Ellen McGuinness all performed extremely well but were unfortunate not to get into the medal position. The table Quiz under 14 comprised of Nessa Kellegher, Rebecca Creamer, Dearbhaile Beirne, Jonathan Reynolds, Glen Ward and Conor gallagher all done well. Best wishes to all that took part and it was a very busy weekend for the Mohill children. Thank you to all who gave so generously to the Community Games collection which was taken up at churches in Mohill Area over the weekend.
