Bornacoola win Leitrim Scor Club of the Year crown

St. Joseph's Centre, Leitrim Village hosted Scór Sinsir 2023 last Friday as the audience were treated to an enjoyable evening of music, song and dance.

Eamonn Brennan was Máistir na gCeist for the quiz which saw a tight contest between Bornacoola, Fenagh, Leitrim Gaels and St. Mary's before Bornacoola edged  in front in the individual stages to emerge as county champions.

Mohill opened the stage acts of the competitions, securing the second title of night in Rince Fóirne. John Butler from St. Mary's  retained his county title in the Amhránaíocht Aonair for the second year running as did Bornacoola's Aidan Dockery in the Aithriseoireacht. Dockery secured the hat trick when he returned with his club mates to win the Bailéad Ghrúpa.

The competitions finished on a high when the Ballinamore Sean O'Heslins danced the night away to secure the county title for the Rince Seit (Set Dancing)

Club of the year was awarded to the Bornacoola club and Ailbhe McGill presented the Cormac McGill shield to the Bornacoola club.

The winners will go on to represent Leitrim in the Connacht Final on Saturday October 28, in Co. Sligo.
