It's that time of the year again when we say thanks. Last April when the new committee was formed under the stewardship of chairman Brian Kelly, we set out new plans and we have achieved most of them.
The Superleague was revived with the Lough Allen league emerging as winners. The Masters & Grand Slam was won by Raymond Mulvey, the Matchplay was won by Chris Ferguson. Four Super Sundays were won by Charlie McDermott, Jason Vickers and Raymond Mulvey won two. We also introduced a very successful awards night.
On the financial side, we provided personalised jerseys for both the A and B teams, entry fees, hotels and transport all paid for both the West Coast Challenge and The All-Irelands. This would not be possible without the cooperation of our players and sponsors.
Thank you to our sponsors from 2023 who are: O'Callaghans, The Blue Devon, The Barrelstore, The Clubhouse, Jackie's, Coxs, The Poor Scholar, Lock 17, Cusacks and Carrolls. Please continue to support our sponsors.
The Leitrim Darts community also raised a staggering €18,500 spread across four charities. €14,500 for Children's Health Ireland, €1,000 for Northwest Hospice, €1,500 for the Jack and Jill foundation and €1,500 for Angel Wishes. Many many thanks to all who contributed in any way.
Thanks to the Leitrim Observer for the excellent coverage afforded to our sport throughout the year and we look forward to working with you all again in 2024. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and peaceful Christmas.
