Leitrim Darts back after Christmas break with busy programme

Happy & successful New year to all Leitrim sports people. On the darts scene the Christmas break was a case of the calm before the storm as we face into a hectic number of weeks starting next weekend with the west coast challenge being hosted this year by our neighbours Roscommon the weekend kicks off with a pairs competitions on Friday evening with the team event on Saturday concluding with the singles on Sunday

West Coast Challenge

Best of luck to the Leitrim ladies dart team this coming Saturday playing in the west coast of Ireland tournament with teams from Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Mayo, Galway, Donegal, Clare, Limerick, Longford and Cavan competing.

The team representing Leitrim for 2024 is Olive McIntyre, Kathryn McTague, Arlene McFarland, Shirley Dempsey, Sam Carberry, Louise McCarthy, Michelle Tighe, Sue Ellen Bohan, Sandra O’Connor, Aoife McIntyre, Charlene Beck

Our AGM takes place in the Barrel Store on January 28, followed by an A V B challenge match & a MIMO Singles for any wishing to get involved be it players or members this day is the perfect starting point

Leitrim Darts Championships

The Leitrim Darts Championship returns on Saturday March 23, in the Blue Devon Dromahair. This year’s charity is The North West Hospice. There is a change to the format this year with it being a straight knockout competition. The last 16 will be a seeded draw with the eight winners continuing on in the cup and the eight runners up going into the shield.
