Get Leitrim Walking

Leitrim Sports Partnership in partnership with Get Ireland Walking active community walking programme wants the people of Leitrim to get moving and walk their way to a healthier lifestyle.

Walking is one of the easiest ways to be more physically active and plays a significant role in reducing the risk of heart disease, fights fat, helps you feel and look better and helps you live a longer and happier life.

Leitrim Sports Partnership walking groups in the County as follows and will last for 8 weeks:

Dromhair walking group is starting on Thursday, September 22at 8pm, meeting point outside Depot community centre in Dromhair. Contact – Sue Mc Gowan (086) 2542505.

Ballinamore walking group is starting on Tuesday, September 20 at 7pm, meeting point at the car park along the Golf link road. Contact – Michelle Fanning (087) 9390980.

Drumshambo walking group is starting on Monday, September 19 at 7pm, meeting point at the Drumshambo Vocational School. Contact – James Mac Dowell (086) 8820848.

Kinlough walking group is starting on Saturday, September 17 at 10am, meeting point at the Kinlough Community Centre. Contact – David Gillespie (086) 2470467.
