It's almost parade time, not long to go now. There's a lot of excited children getting their costumes ready and bales of hay being gathered for floats. ️
We will meet in the Church car park from 5pm and the parade travels around town from 5-7pm.
FREE ENTRY for everyone - come along on your float, with your sports/community group, your pet dinosaurs, in your tractor, your wheelbarrow - it's up to you!!
Remember you can see the Dromahair parade - 4pm and afterwards Manorhamilton parade - 5pm.
Castle Street Band commemoration event on St. Patrick's day. Everyone is welcome to attend the unveiling of the commemorative plaque at the Fair green on Friday, March 17 2023 at 2pm followed by the official launch of the Castle Street Band commemorative booklet at the Community Centre Manorhamilton, 2.30pm to 4.00pm.
The booklet will be available to purchase at the Bee Park resource Centre on the day. We will also have archive photographs on display as well as an original uniform and a selection of the instruments that were used by the band.
We are also delighted to have obtained film footage that was taken by Georgie Thompson on the bands first outing on St. Patrick's Day 1953 which we will screen on the day. Refreshments will also be provided at the event.
This year Manorhamilton will host a spectacular FANCY DRESS parade!
Get in the spirit of St. Patrick's Day and come dressed in your favourite costume!
