Carrick Carnival is an action-packed festival held annually over the June Bank Holiday in Carrick-on-Shannon. This year’s event takes place from Thursday, May 29 to Monday, June 2, promising a fun-filled weekend for all ages.

Festivities kick off on Thursday at 5pm in the Chamber Car Park with ‘Taste of Carrick’ and live music until 8pm. At 7pm, there will be a coastguard demonstration on the River Shannon, followed by live music from Brian Farrell in McHugh’s at 10:30pm to wrap up the first day.

Friday’s schedule includes the return of Murray’s Amusements, which will be set up on Leitrim Road from 7pm until late – perfect for families and thrill-seekers. In the Market Yard, Songs of Praise will take place from 7pm to 9pm. Later, live music continues with Big Generator in Murtagh’s Courtyard from 9pm and Featherhead in McHugh’s from 10:30pm.
