Events will take place across the county including in the Landmark Hotel on October 9.
Mental Health Month is being marked throughout October, with World Mental Health Day taking place on October 10.
In Leitrim, a series of events will be held over the course of four days, beginning on October 6 and running through to October 9, bringing people together to support mental health and one another.
All of the events are free to attend. Leitrim Development Company, in collaboration with Mental Health Ireland, Connecting for Life, Leitrim PPN, and a number of local groups, has put together a programme for the community to enjoy.
The first event takes place on Monday, October 6, with a woodland walk at the Lock House in Battlebridge, offering participants the chance to connect with both nature and each other. On Tuesday, October 7, Mental Health Ireland will host a Connect Café in Manorhamilton (F91 KNX3) from 11am. The Connect Cafés are designed to bring people together to engage in conversation and share connections.

Doors will open at 7pm, with the talk beginning at 7:30pm.
The week’s programme concludes on Thursday, October 9, with a Wellness Day at the Landmark Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon. Running from 10am to 2pm, the event will feature a range of workshops and speakers focused on wellness and mental health.
Workshops include a drum-based workout promoting movement and social interaction, a session with Claire Meleady Smith on reconnecting with the body through balance, breathing, tai chi, chi gong, and yoga, and a sound bath led by Andy Bath, offering deep relaxation as participants lie back and absorb the vibrations and sounds.
