The countdown is on for this year’s Leitrim County Fleadh, set to take place next month in Carrigallen.
Leitrim County Fleadh will run from Friday, April 17, until Sunday, April 19, promising a weekend of music, fun, and culture for all.
Last year’s Leitrim Fleadh was held in Ballinamore, and proved to be a very successful weekend.
Ahead of the event in Carrigallen next month, a spokesperson for Leitrim Tourism said, “Musicians, dancers, singers, and music lovers from across the county and beyond will gather for a vibrant celebration of Irish tradition.
“Expect a lively programme filled with competitions, sessions, entertainment, and plenty of great craic throughout the weekend.

The Fleadh in Carrigallen is not the only major Irish music event coming to the county this year. Preparations are also underway for the Connacht Fleadh Cheoil, which is coming to Mohill for the first time in 10 years.
Scheduled from Sunday, June 28, until Sunday, July 5, the Connacht Fleadh Cheoil will feature a full week of cultural events, sessions, concerts, workshops, and community celebrations. The competitive element is set to take place over the weekend of Friday, July 3, to Sunday, July 5.
The Connacht Fleadh serves as a key qualifying event for musicians, singers, and dancers hoping to secure a coveted place at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, making Mohill a central gathering point for talented performers from across the province.
