An Tóstal continues in Drumshanbo

The laughter and dancing continues at the An Tóstal Festival in Drumshanbo this week.

Tonight Wednesday 29th Sets Ceili in aid of The Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland Dunally Day Care Centre will be in The Mayflower Drumshanbo. Music by Factory Turn Ceili Band, admission is €10.

Thursday evening there is storytelling for children from 6 -7pm in the library and for the more adventurous at the Lough Allen Centre there is sailing from 6.30 – 9.30pm.

The highlight of Thursday night is the barbeque at 8pm at the Lough Allen Hotel and the FREE outdoor cinema by the lake ‘Finding Nemo’ which starts at 10pm.

The fishing workshop continues on Friday at the Lough Allen Centre from 6 -9pm and although the Euro’s continue, Drumshanbo have their very own soccer final at 7pm.

Why not finish off the week with a good laugh with Pat Shortt ‘Selfie’ in Lough Allen Hotel at 8pm on July 1? Tickets on sale from and there also available at the hotel reception.

When you recover from laughing at Pat Shortt there is an underage pool competition in the Pool Hall Church Street Drumshanbo on Saturday, July 2 at 1pm.

An Tóstal Day at the lake includes a selection of Bouncy Castles, raft building and racing, canoeing, kayaking and sailing. There is stand-up paddle boarding while being entertained by the Army Band of 4 Western Command.

And then the night we have all been waiting for (Saturday, July 2) Nathan Carter in the Mayflower Drumshanbo. Doors open at 9pm. This is a ticket only event and strictly over 18’s. Nathan is supported by Daniel Byrne and tickets are available at or local agents (Centra and Supervalu).

The festival finishes off on Sunday, July 3 with a senior pool competition in the Pool Hall Church Street Drumshanbo at 1pm. Afterwards in association with Drumshanbo Athletic Club An Tóstal are holding a 5km and 10km run/walk and family canal walk with children’s scavenger hunt at 1pm. Registration at the Mayflower Community Centre from 11am.

The An Tóstal Festival Committee would like to thank all who came out and enjoyed our festival to date and we hope the remainder of the week events continues to entertain you.

The winner of our Nathan Carter competition is Sheila Tighe from Drumshanbo. Sheila won a pair of tickets to the concert on Saturday. Congrats and enjoy!
