Music concert in Fenagh

St Catherine's Church Fenagh

Works have been ongoing since July on St Catherine’s Church Fenagh, which includes the refurbishment of 18th century stained glass windows, the roof, floor and repointing of the church stonework.

By having the Church restored, it has and will enable St Catherine’s Church to host events which will have appeal across the community and save a part of Fenagh’s rich heritage. These works have already enabled a Christmas Carol Service with the participation of the local national school children to take place.

This was the first event to be held for 21 years in the church. On Easter Sunday of this year there was an Easter Sunday Sunrise Service held. A Concert of Medieval Music took place on Saturday 30th July which was part of the Book of Fenagh 500 celebrations. The Harvest Festival Service also took place in September.

In order to complete all these works fundraising is a necessity. St Catherine’s Church Restoration Committee is proud to present The Sweet Spirit Gospel Choir and the Leitrim Male Choir who will be performing in St Mary’s Church , Foxfield on Sunday the 6th November at 8pm. Tickets for this performance are €10 and are available at Fenagh Visitors Centre on (071) 9645590.
