Seamus O'Rourke And Thank You ...
If you haven’t already seen Seamus O'Rourke's comedy And Thank You, then you have another chance this week.
O'Rourke brings his play, about an ordinary man living in rural Ireland who gets saved from a life of pub talk and prophesising, to The Glens Centre, Manorhamilton this Wednesday and Thursday, February 6 -7.
King John O’Sullivan used to be able to drink 15 pints without having to piddle — now, it’s every nine!
Going to the gents so often can wear a man out. This story is told to us by the Reverend Thaddaeus Clancy and O’Sullivan’s two sons, Larry O and Martin.
The sons run the family shop while Daddy, the King of McKenna’s Bar, makes up the rules.
It is a story of hard work, success and dangling.
There’s bad driving and ice hockey and there’s falling down. When the ‘divel’ starts to gnaw, the kingdom will fall.
This one-man show will see O'Rourke take on several personas.
Expect to laugh out loud on the night, but spend your days after pondering the issues in the play.
Seamus has received great reviews from around the country for this production.
Tickets are €16/13 and booking is on (071) 9855833 or www.theglenscentre.com
