One of the floats from a previous Aughavas St Patrick's Day Parade
The Aughavas St Patrick's Day Parade starts at 12.30 pm on March 17 with floats at Aughavas GAA grounds prior to this.
The parade will be led by a piper from Donegal and special guest Saint Patrick.
There are prizes for the best floats:
1st prize - €400
2nd prize - €200
3rd prize - €50 + €50 meal voucher for Mitchell’s
There will also be a prize for the best vintage vehicle of €50 and a bottle of whiskey with a runner up prize of a bottle of whiskey.
After the parade, the Dugout Bar will be serving complimentary sandwiches and finger food prior to the evening's entertainment.
Saint Joseph’s Ladies GAA will also be holding a cake sale from 11am and your support would greatly be appreciated.
