We extend deepest sympathy to Margaret and Pat Reilly and Family, Cornageeha. on the recent death of Margaret’s mother Mary Jones. Removal of her remains took place from her residence in Carrickmacross on Thursday morning last to St.Joseph’s church and following her funeral mass burial took place in St Joseph’s cemetry. Following a long and very fulfilled life she will be sadly missed by her daughters Margaret, Maura, and Kareen. sons Eamonn, Jerome, Peter, Tom, and Sean. sister brother sons-in law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, her much loved grandchildren and a large circle of neighbours and friends. May she Rest in Peace.
Congratulations to Emma Canning and Adrian Leonard who were married on Saturday last. The bridesmaids were Maggie Cox, Kathleen Sheerin and Amy Cox. Bestmen were Declan, Brendan and Kieran Leonard. The handsome page boys were Thomas Sheerin and Gary Cox. Guests enjoyed a lovely reception at Kilronan Castle where they danced the night away to the music of Busy Fingers. We wish this couple many years of health and happiness together.
Mohill and District Historical Society
Our next meeting of the Mohill and District Historical Society will take place on Tuesday the 7th of May in the Canon Donohue Hall at 8.30pm sharp. We are privileged to have as our guest speaker, Fr. Liam Kelly, famed author and historian. He will give a presentation on local history accompanied by a collection of historical photographs.
