Poor Clares on retreat

The Poor Clare Sisters Drumshanbo will be on retreat from Friday February 15th until Monday February 25th inclusive. The Convent will be closed during the retreat but the Convent chapel will be open as usual. Mass will be at 8am on weekdays and at 9am on Sundays.

Bonus Ball Bash

St. Ronan’s Lotto

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot when the draw was held last weekend. The numbers drawn were 1, 18, 21, 23. Consolation prizes were won by the following €70 Pat Flanagan, Arigna, €30 Luke O’Dowd, Croghan, €15 each Eddie Rogers, Keadue, Marian/Philip Turner, Ballyfarnon, Ray McLoughlin, Arigna. The jackpot this week will be €6,300 and the draw will be held in Killoran’s Bar, Ballyfarnon.

CCE Seisiun

Charity event postponed

Charity “Take Me Out” night in the Mayflower, Drumshanbo on Saturday February 9th is postponed and will be rescheduled for next month. Sorry for any inconvenience this cancellation may cause to anyone.

Fundraiser for St Patrick’s Hospital

Eleanor Shanley together with Charlie McGettigan and local artists have kindly offered to perform a special fundraising night in the new St. Joseph’s Resource Centre beside the church in Leitrim Village on Sunday February 24th at 8pm. Admission is €15.00 including the refreshments and there will be a raffle for a selection of prizes. All funds from this event will go to the Alzheimer’s Unit, St. Patrick’s Hospital, Carrick-on-Shannon. All welcome for what promises to be a wonderful night’s entertainment in Leitrim Village.

Kilronan Community Games

Swimming: If anyone is interested in taking part in the swimming competitions this year please can you contact Fiona Rynn on 086-8700666 as soon as possible as the swimming finals are due to take place in April this year? We will need to organize heats to this if there is a lot of interest.

10K Fun Walk, Run or Cycle

St Michael’s GAA Club are holding a 10K Fun Walk, Run or Cycle on Sunday, the 17th of February, commencing at 2.00pm, from Ardcarne Park, Cootehall. Registration on the day, starting from 1.30pm. Entrance Fee; €10 per Family, €5 per Adult and U12s are free. Come out and enjoy the day’s fun and crack and walk, run or cycle off those Valentine chocolates in the scenic countryside.
