St. Patrick’s Day Committee meeting

St. Patrick’s Day Committee meeting

At last week’s meeting of the St. Patrick’s Day Committee plans were made for the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the St. Patrick’s Festival weekend. The Festival will start with The Outlaws in the Lough Allen Hotel on Friday night the 15th March. Tickets €15.00. We are hopeful that Hector will be joining us over the weekend and are planning a Hector/Redheads gathering “for the year that is in it”. There was a good attendance at the meeting but the Committee could do with more help. If you are interested in helping out on the day please come along to our next meeting which will be in the Henry’s tonight (Wednesday) at 10pm. A vote of sympathy was extended to John Moran, one of our hard working committee members and to the Moran Family, on the recent death of his father Mike Joe RIP.

Election? No… just another kind of drama

You might be forgiven for thinking that an early General Election has been called when you see the hive of activity around Corraleehan and more notably Clogher National School. Over the years since the School closed it has been used as a Polling Station. However, drama of another kind will take place on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd February at 8.30pm when the Corraleehan Heritage and Cultural Society presents ‘The Country Boy’ by John Murphy and produced by Frank Cadam. All proceeds from both nights will go to local projects so come along and by your support you will help us make a difference in our Community.
