Pub Quiz Night in Leitrim Village
The Parents Association of St Joseph’s National School, Leitrim Village are holding a Quiz Night on Friday, 22nd February at 9pm sharp at Carthy’s Pub. Midland Retired Secondary Teachers Association
Midland Retired Secondary Teachers Association will meet on Tuesday, February 19th in Longford Library. At 11am Jeremy from Caminoways will give presentation and answer your questions on walking the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, a journey we look forward to undertaking the last week of April this year. Love Thy Neighbour in Aughawillan
Aughawillan Drama Troupe presents its second offering Love Thy Neighbour by Jimmy Keary in Aughawillan Community Centre on Thursday 14th, Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th February at 8-30pm each night. A great night’s entertainment is guaranteed. Produced by Tommy Moran, this play is yet another comedy, which will have audiences rolling in the aisles. So come early to avoid disappointment.
Tony McGowan 10K in Drumshanbo
The inaugural Tony McGowan 10K road race will take place in Drumshanbo next Sunday, February 17 at 12pm. You can register for the race online at www.runireland.com, or on the day itself where registration will take place in the Mayflower, Drumshanbo from 10.30-11.30am. Entry only €10.
10K Fun Walk, Run or Cycle in Cootehall
St Michael’s GAA Club are holding a 10K Fun Walk, Run or Cycle on Sunday, the 17th of February, commencing at 2.00pm, from Ardcarne Park, Cootehall. Registration on the day, starting from 1.30pm. Entrance Fee; €10 per Family, €5 per Adult and U12s are free. Come out and enjoy the day’s fun and crack and walk, run or cycle off those Valentine chocolates in the scenic countryside.

A mobile hearing clinic will be available on Main Street, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, on Friday, 15th February providing hearing screenings free of charge. Community fitness programmes
Ballinamore SOH Operation Transformation: Fitness classes continue for ladies every Wednesday at 7.30pm and Thursday at 11am followed by a weigh in. The men’s workout is at 8.30pm on Wednesday with an optional weigh in also. It’s great to see additional men still joining in. The Bootcamp for all is on Saturday at 10am in the sports complex. Drumreilly fitness sessions: A new set of ladies fitness sessions including Zumba, aerobics and toning will be starting this Thursday at 9.15pm in Drumreilly Hall. Anybody is welcome to pop in any night. For further information contact Michelle on 087-9390980.
Carrigallen Fun and Fitness: Two new fitness sessions are starting in Carrigallen including Zumba with bums and tums which is starting Monday the 18that 6.30pm in the Kilbracken hotel. There is also a Bootcamp in Carrigallen Hall this Saturday the 16th at 12noon. Contact 087-9390980 for booking.
Ballinamore area fitness: A new set of female fitness classes are starting in Ballinamore Hall at 8pm on Monday the 18th and Thursday the 21stof January. There are also aerobics and circuits classes in the GAA Gym Tuesday at 11am and Wednesday at 6.30pm. All welcome. Blood Bank Clinic in Ballinamore
The Blood Transfusion mobile unit team will return again to The Community Centre, Ballinamore on Monday 18th February 2013 from 3.00p.m. to 5.00 p.m and 7.00p.m. to 9.30 p.m. Some 3000 units (pints) of blood are needed overall each week to cater for emergency and routine cases requiring transfusions of blood and blood products in hospitals all over the country. Thanks to everyone who attended the last clinic and please come again to the Community Centre, Ballinamore on Monday 18th February and if possible bring a friend.
