Charity concert

The seventh annual charity concert organised and performed by the Traditional Irish Music course will be held on Friday 1st March. This evening of Irish music, song and dance will be held in the Mayflower community centre, Drunshanbo commencing at 8pm. All the proceeds will be donated to St Vincent de Paul, Drumshanbo, The Breffni Centre, Carrick-on-Shannon and Stop Suicide, Manorhamilton. Tickets are only €5 (u-12s free) and each ticket will be entered into a draw for €100. So come along for a great evening of ceol agus craic!

Down memory lane!

Attention all past pupils, families and friends of Clogher old national school or friends of drama - The Corraleehan Heritage & Cultural Society presents the play ‘The Country Boy’ in Clogher N.S. on Friday 22nd February and Saturday 23rd February at 8.30pm sharp! Take a trip down memory lane and experience a great night of drama. ‘The Country Boy’ tells the story of an Irish family whose son emigrated to America. Their other son is planning to emigrate too and follow his brother out to New York. In the meantime, the American’s decide to come home for a visit. Here’s where the fun starts…the antics of Julia, the American lassie will surely bring you all a laugh!

There will be memorabilia on display on both nights, which will include the school roll book and old photos! Great credit to Tracey McTague and the members of the committee for their dedication and commitment to this project. All proceeds from both nights to local projects in the parish. Directions to Clogher N.S. for people unfamiliar with the area – Coming from Ballinamore out the Enniskillen Road for approx 4 miles and turn left for Corraleehan. Clogher N.S will be signposted from there. From Swanlinbar/Enniskillen towards Ballinamore turn right for Corraleehan and Clogher N.S. will be signposted.

Stations of the Cross

Stations of the Cross for Lent will take place each Friday evening during lent immediately after 8pm mass. If no mass on Friday evening, the stations will be done at 8pm. This is our community effort for Lent. if anyone would like to lead the stations please contact Breda Mulvanerty on 086-3763809.

Lecture to mark the year of faith

Bishop Donal Murray will deliver a lecture to mark the Year of Faith and the 50th Anniversary of Vatican II in the Diocesan Pastoral Centre on Tuesday 26th February at 7.45pm. The Lecture is entitled ‘Taste the New Wine - Rediscovering Vatican II’ Bishop Donal’s most recent publication ‘Keeping open the door of Faith’ is a personal reflection on the 5 themes of the Vatican Council and their implications for today’s world. The Bishop will speak for about 35 minutes followed by a group discussion and question and answer. Light refreshments will be served. Subscription €5.

Local Drama Group “The Acorn Players”

For anyone that missed seeing the production of The Two Loves Of Gabriel Foley”, you will have another chance on Friday, 22nd February in Ballinalee and Sunday, 24th February in Ballinamore hall at 8pm. All the audiences so far love this hilarious comedy, where all is fair in love and war. The cast are all local, Gabriel Foley played by Padraig McLoughlin, Hazel Myers (Monica Reilly), Chrissie McCabe (Anella McGuinness), Aggie Foley & Morag De Coursey (Margaret Healy), Lucy Lacey (Nicole Kearins), Clive Snell (Dave Price) and last but by no means least Liam Gavigan is played by the very popular Philip Flood. Not forgetting M.C.(Tommy Kellegher) Stage Manager (Maureen Lynch) and Front of House (Liz Geoghan). Please support.
