Miner’s Way

The next Miner’s Way/Historical Trail meetings will take place Friday 1st March in King House in Boyle. The schedule for the meetings will run as follows: Trails meeting: 10am until-10.30am, Marketing meeting: 10.30 am until 11pm, Management Meeting: 11am until 12 pm. Special Meeting with Tourism providers.

Get ECDL certified

This course will be Commencing Monday March 4th (2 evenings per week, Mondays and Thursdays) 7-9.30pm over 8 weeks. An ECDL is a requirement for many 3rd level Courses and in addition enhances employment opportunities. For further details, please email or call 087 969 3889.


St Joseph’s National School, Boyle enrolment forms are available in the school and the forms should be returned by March 8th.

Enrolment is now underway at Grange NS until March 9th for the academic year 2013/2014. Application forms are available from the school or by contacting 071 966 3424.

Car boot sale

Boyle and District Angling Club will be holding a car boot sale on the Crescent, Boyle on Sunday, March 10th commencing at 9am. All proceeds to the Boyle and District Angling Club’s Pike Angling Festival. Anyone interested in taking a space or to donate any items please call Jane on 086 8301 261.

Curlew Walkers Club

The next meeting of the walkers club will be taking place on Sunday March 10th meeting on the Crescent, Boyle at 10am. This will be a climb from Ballyfarnan to Arigna with your leader being Fildelma Brennan contact no 087 2343615. Please confirm times with leader or web site prior to each walk.

Stott pilates classes

Classes are now being held in the school gym of the Scoil n nAingeal Naofa, Carrick Road, Boyle each Wednesday from February 27th. Ladies class 8pm until 9pm

Tennis Club

Tennis coaching for children every Monday until Monday, March 4th. Under 9 years 3.30pm until 4.30pm, over 9 years 4.30pm until 5.30pm. The fee for this six week course

Gym equipment needed

The Brothers of Charity Services Boyle need Gym equipment. If you have a treadmill, stepper, or exercise bike in good working order and you would like to donate same.

Curlieu Wheelers

The Curlieu Wheelers/Connacht Gold Audax is a non competitive cycling event with routes to suit all abilities, 60k-140k-200km-10km Family Spin and Family Fun Day.(The 10km Family Spin is free to Enter). Boyle People of the Year

The Year Awards 2012, presented by Boyle Town Council is now underway. Entry Forms are now being distributed to over 70 local organisations in the Boyle area. Any

recipients has been arranged for The Resource Centre, Abbeytown, Boyle on Friday, March 22nd commencing at 8.00pm and is open to all members of the community.

Tawnytaskin Community Centre

Traditional unaccompanied singing, in English and Irish meet on the third Saturday of every month, in Dodd’s Crescent Bar, Boyle. All singers and listeners welcome.
