Tea Party

Rooskey Church Renovation committee are holding a Tea Party in the old school on Friday 26th April. Music is by Eamon Kelly. Tickets are available. Please support.

Community Games

The annual Community Games Sports Day is to take place in Tommy Gaffney’s field on the Kon Tiki road on Saturday 27th April at 11.30a.m. All children will be registered and there is a fee of 3euro per child. All are welcome, see you there! There is also a Church Gate collection on the same weekend to help raise funds for the Community Games, taking place at Saturday night mass in Slatta, the 27th and on Sunday 28th April in Rooskey and Kilglass. All support is greatly appreciated.

The Gathering Weekend

31st May to 3rd June. A large range of events will be held during the weekend starting with a Music Night in CJ’s on Friday, Mixed Activities on Saturday at the pitch and throughout, the Parish Walk on Sliabh Ban on Sunday followed by Pig on the Stick and music by Ray Lynam in the Kon Tiki on Monday the 3rd: Treasure Hunt throughout the Parish of Kilglass (full details will be released soon) Be part of it – Help make it happen.


Please pray for the repose of the soul of Gertie Tighe (nee Gannon) who died recently in Birmingham England. Deepest sympathy is extended to all who mourn her loss. May she rest in peace.

Mini Marathon

Rooskey Hospice Support Group wish to inform parishioners that Eileen Deehan, Slatta and her three sisters together with a few people from the parish are taking part in the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon in Dublin on Monday June 3rd. Sponsorship cards will be available to all local outlets in the coming weeks. Your support would be greatly appreciated for this worthy cause. Computer Course
