Lecture on Killegar Papers
Leitrim County Library, Ballinamore, will host a lecture entitled ‘The Killegar Archive: a Leitrim treasure’ on Wednesday, 30 January at 7.30 pm. The speaker will be Martin Morris, an archivist who worked on the papers. The lecture will explore the papers and what they tell us about the people who created them. Admission to this Lecture is free and everyone is welcome.

A certificate course in the catechism of the catholic church, awarded by the Maryvale Institute, will begin in the Diocesan Pastoral Centre, Cavan on Thursday 14th February and in Manorhamilton on Wed 20th February. This is a three year course consisting of 24 sessions per year. Certification is awarded by attendance and through the successful complention of an assignment at the end of each unit. Application forms are available from your local priest. Those interested are invited to attend an information night in the Pastoral Centre, St Patrick’s College, Cavan on Wednesday 30th Jan at 8pm

Aughawillan Drama Troupe Double Bill!
Aughawillan Drama Troupe present the first of two renowned Jimmy Keary comedies in Aughawillan Community Centre this weekend, Thursday 31st, Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Sunday, 3rd February, starting at 8.30pm. The Maiden Aunt is hilarious farce which has entertained audiences throughout the country and the Aughawillan Troupe, under the direction of Tommy Moran bring their special brand of comedy to the stage. Admission is €10 and doors open at 8pm.
The second part of the double bill Love Thy Neighbour is also a hughly entertaining comedy and will be presented on Thursday 14th, Friday 15th Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th February again with curtain up at 8.30pm in Aughawillan Community Centre. Come early and avoid disappointment.
