Markievicz Park, Sligo was a marvellous place to be last Sunday to behold such a wholehearted performance from all the Leitrim players, capping it all winning the final (the Connacht FBD Football League Final 2013). January has been a great month for Leitrim GAA followers.
Thanks to the players and management. It was special too for Drumkeerin people to have one of our own Colm Clark playing in all four games in the competition. We wish Leitrim good luck and success in Limerick next Sunday.
We extend sympathy to Julia Fidgeon and family on the death of Julia’s sister, Rita Keaney, Toathfield, Manorhamilton whose funeral took place on Sunday last.
Registration for all age groups at the alleys on this Wednesday, January 30th at 7pm.

Tidy Towns Meeting
At our last Tidy Towns meeting late Autumn it was decided to call our next meeting towards end of January/early February. After the winter and with spring showing new life, it was felt that with a good early Spring start we could follow up on the good work and enthusiasm shown last year. It was most heartening to see such interest and desire to improve the village and the approach roads and the housing estates. So we are anxious to take off on that positive note on Wednesday February 6th with a meeting in the Community Centre commencing at 8:30pm. Tell your friends to come along. In these times of recession and much gloom and depression communities best hope of getting through difficult times is by uniting and working together. So please don’t leave it to someone else. Get involved.
