‘Stop Suicide & Leitrim Multiple Sclerosis’ fundraising show

The Co. Leitrim ‘Sweet Spirit Country & Gospel Choir’ based in Mohill and under the musical direction of Tish Dunleavy will be staging their show in the Cornmill Theatre, Carrigallen on Friday night, 12th April at 8.30pm. Proceeds from this show will be donated to the two very deserving organisations - Leitrim based ‘Stop Suicide’ and Leitrim Multiple Sclerosis. Swimming lessons in Drumshanbo

Adults one to one swimming lessons and Childrens group lessons and one to one swimming lessons will begin in The Lough Allen Hotel, Drumshanbo. Children’s group lessons will take place on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings and cost €60 for 6 weeks. There will be a maximum of 8 children per class and the class will last for 45 minutes. Adults and childrens one to one swimming lessons will take place on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings and costs €110 for 6 weeks and again class duration is 45 minutes. Resilience for Life - 6 week Programme

This 6 week Resilience for Life programme is aimed at developing an individual’s ability to positively respond to negative and challenging events in their life using a resilience toolbox – an array of strategies they can use to reduce stress and overcome the challenges they face. The course will be facilitated by Dr Michelle Howard, Reg. Psychol., Ps.S.I., Registered Psychologist and will be held in The Breffni Family Resource Centre, Breffni Crescent, Carrick-on-Shannon. The course begins on Tuesday 23 April and every Tuesday for 5 weeks thereafter, 30 April, 7 May, 14 May, 21 May and finishing on Tuesday 28 May.

Drumreilly GAA Thousandaire

Drumreilly GAA Club bring the hugely popular “Who Wants To Be A Thousandaire” to the Standing Stone in Ballinamore on Friday, April 27. This show has attracted large audiences all over Ireland over the past seven years and is becoming the most popular sorse of fundraisng for our scholls and clubs. Contestants are drawn from ticket sales and each contestant will play for €1000.The show is fully cumputerised with 50/50, ask the audience and a brilliant video linked Phone a Friend. There is still some large screen digital advertising space available foe the show, please contact a member of the commity for futher information. Tickets for “Who Wants to be a Thousandaire” are available from any member of the fundraising committee.

Energise Your Life / Men’s Circuits

Energise Your Life is a programme which is offered to all adults over 55 years and to GP Exercise Referral clients. Instructor Michelle Fanning will continuously deliver safe and effective fitness classes with the emphasis being on fun, enjoyment and interaction. It is a great way to get fit, lose weight, strengthen joints and muscles, while also meeting new people and making new friends. A new six week programme of men’s circuits will commence on Wednesday the 10th of April at 8.30pm in Ballinamore GAA Gym. This session will include exercise stations along with body conditioning exercises. This class is suitable for all fitness levels and ages. Come along and try it out.
