Congratulations to Patrick and Barbara on the birth of their son, Owen, who arrived early on Friday 12th April weighing in at 7lbs 3ozs. The Reynolds dynasty is assured! Particular congratulations to Barbara as she did all the hard work and to young Saoirse, Owen’s big sister at the tender age of 17 months, she’s got a new playmate! All the grandparents and other family members are pretty pleased.......here’s wishing you all much joy and pleasure with your new family member.
“Who is Manorhamilton?” returns to the stage
On Thursday, 18th April Sorcha Fox will be presenting what is the culmination of her year as Theatre Artist in Residence. A multi media piece with live music and performance, ‘Who is Manorhamilton?’ has the contribution of people from Manorhamilton at it’s core. It is performed by Sorcha Fox with live music from Dee Armstrong, Seanan Brennan and members of Comhaltas Cluainin and includes a dance piece by the Taheny Dance Academy.
Sorcha says “All places have many identities that co-exist. All places have histories, some histories never get recorded.
“Who is Manorhamilton?” is a theatre piece that attempts to look at those different identities, in a snapshot of a year of human history in Manorhamilton - an extraordinary,ordinary place.”
A writer, actor and co-director of Benbo Productions - Sorcha is a recipient of a 2013 Arts Council Theatre Artist’s Bursary. She will be bringing her performed poetry piece ‘Who Am Ireland?’ to Zimbabwe and Zambia at the end of April. The performance starts at 8.30pm, tickets are €10/8 (adults) and €5 (children).
County Development Plan
Members of the public and interested parties are invited to attend a public meeting to the review of the County Development Plan 2009 – 2015 and discuss the preparation of a new County Development Plan 2015 - 2021. Manorhamilton in Bee Park Centre on Thursday 18th April at 6.30pm. This is well worth attending to find out just what the County Council proposes for us all both now and the future!
AGM of Love Leitrim
Will take place on Tuesday, April 23rd at 8pm in the Bee Park Community Centre, Manorhamilton. Once you’ve had your say over the County Development Plan it might be a good idea to go along and find out what’s happening on the Fracking front...it’s not gone away you know!
The North Leitrim Women’s Centre will be running this class on Wednesday 24th April between 11am-1pm. Cost €5.

Reunion planning group meeting
The next meeting of the Reunion planning group is on 24th April starting at 8pm in the Community Centre. We’re still short a people to help organise this whole event so please go along.
Killargue schools reunion Facebook page
The Development Association is delighted that they’ve got their Facebook page up and running giving information and pictures of some of the schools, some of the people and some of Killargue places. Entitled Killargue Schools Reunion 2013, just type that into a search engine and off you’ll be taken to the page! If you don’t have access to a computer why not pop into the library and have a look at the page on one of their computers?

As part of the advertising build up for the Reunion in the summer, Killargue now has a page on the national website. To have a look just go to thegatheringireland.ie website and then search through the County Leitrim entries.
Up and running the childrens’ coaching sessions have started in Killargue. Still a few vacancies at both the 6pm and the 7pm sessions and we need a few more adults to step up before the adult sessions can get underway. Come along and get fit or just watch the fun on the court...every Thursday.
Remember that short mat bowling is continuing each Tuesday in the Community Centre. if you haven’t the energy, or the knees, for tennis then why not try bowling? New players always welcome.
Drumkeerin Drama Group presents “Say Cheese”
Drumkeerin Drama Group is back on stage this coming weekend Friday, April 19th, Saturday, April 20th and Sunday, April 21st with their annual production in Drumkeerin Community Centre. This year they perform Bernard Farrell’s great comedy drama, “Say Cheese”. There is an excellent storyline with plently of twists and surprises which greatly add to the drama, suspense and comedy. Performances commence at 8.45pm each night and on time so come early and do not miss a beat. Doors open at 8pm.
