Irish Classes

2013 is ‘Bliain na Gaeilge’. If you would like to learn how to use the Irish you think you have forgotten come along to a series of informal relaxed classes in Tigh Stanford, Dromahair from 7.45 - 9.30. Gach eolas: Bríd 086 0580034.

Cake Sale in the Depot

Drumlease National School Parents Association Cake Sale takes place in The Depot on Sunday the 21st of April, 2013 from 10a.m. to 1p.m. All donations welcome. Your support would be much appreciated. Proceeds in aid of Drumlease National School.

Blotto Draw

Dromahair Development Association/Tidy Towns Blotto Draw took place on Saturday night the 13th of April in The Blue Devon. The numbers drawn were 08, 10, 17 and 19. The Jackpot of €2,200 was not won. The five winners of €30 were Barbara Conlon, Corglancy, Catriona Barkley, Rathedmond Estate, Patrick Kelly, Mallagh, Charlie Healy, Moragh, Pauric Harkin, Killargue. The next draw will take place in Stanford’s on Saturday the 27th of April. The Jackpot will be €2,300. Tickets available in all local businesses so why not try your luck.

Alzheimer Cafe

Alzheimer Cafe, The Glasshouse Hotel, Friday 12th April from 11am to 1pm in the View Bar. Alzheimer Cafe mornings are free and anyone affected by Dementia are welcome to attend. Ceil in St Brigid’s Hall, Tubbercurry on Saturday, 27 April. Dancing 10pm to 1am. Music by Salamanca Ceili Band. Refreshments served. This is a Fundraiser for St Michael’s Cloonacool Community Centre. Your support will be appreciated.

‘Bloom’ Flower Show

Day Trip on Saturday - June 1st (Phoenix Park). Bus leaving Dromahair at 8.00am (sharp) & Ballinagar at 8.15am (sharp) via Drumkeerin. Limited number of seats still available. Cost €64 - includes return bus fare, breakfast en route, entry to Bloom Flower Show & 4-course evening dinner in Carrick-on-Shannon on return. Family Fun Day

The Parents Council of Ursuline College, Sligo are organizing a Family Fun Day Walk out to Coney Island (at low tide!) scheduled for Sunday, April 28th, gathering between 1 and 1:30 pm at Scardan. Students, staff, past pupils, their families and friends are welcome to come along, bring a picnic and help raise money for the school. Funds raised will go toward the purchase of books and materials for the School Library. Any and all contributions are welcome. The event will be weather permitting and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Drumkeerin Drama Group presents “Say Cheese”

Drumkeerin Drama Group is back on stage this coming weekend Friday, April 19th, Saturday, April 20th and Sunday, April 21st with their annual production in Drumkeerin Community Centre. This year they perform Bernard Farrell’s great comedy drama, “Say Cheese”. There is an excellent storyline with plently of twists and surprises which greatly add to the drama, suspense and comedy. Performances commence at 8.45pm each night and on time so come early and do not miss a beat. Doors open at 8pm.
