The U13 Irish contemporary dance group mentored by Órla Murphy and the U13 comedy group led by Fiona Nolan from the Ballinamore Area showcased their fantastic talent on the national stage and both groups earned a fantastic second place in both competitions.

Mohill Area singing group also enjoyed great success coming home with a well earned third place in their category.

Individual art and handwriting competitions were also well represented with a number of Leitrim children taking part in both events at the National competition. Tara Gilmartin from Drumshanbo area placed a fantastic second place to bring home silver in the U14 handwriting competition.

The weekend rounds up a fantastic community games season for Leitrim's young participants, with great successes, achievements and participation enjoyed across a variety of sporting, arts and cultural events.

These opportunities and events would not be possible without the hard work commitment and energy of Community games local area and county committee volunteers, parents and families.

Huge thanks and well done to all involved in this year's community games successful season.
