The Dock features ‘Past Lives’, a must-see story of lost loves

This year's Valentine’s Day screening is the beautiful and authentically romantic film, Past Lives - a debut feature film from playwright, Celine Song, at The Dock on February 14.

Nora and Hae Sung, classmates at a primary school in Seoul, have their deep friendship abruptly ended when Nora’s family emigrated to Canada. Two decades later, they meet in New York and over one week address notions of chance and circumstance and the choices people make that create a life.

Their story explores the notion of ‘In Yun,’ a Korean concept of connection between people – the string of fate which tangles together across different lifetimes, it subtly addresses the tension between a life longed for and the life lived. With spellbinding performances from Greta Lee, Teo Yoo, and John Magaro.

The film is a must-see story of lost loves, childhood crushes and changing identities. Tickets are €5 and available at https://www.thedock.ie/whats-on/classic-cinema-5.
