Many people's attention may have been on the replayed League semi-final on Sunday but for Mohill GAA club, Saturday was a red letter day as GAA President Aogán Ó Fearghail launched the excellent "Clear the Way - History of the Mohill GAA Club 1889 - 2015".

The long awaited labour of love was officially unveiled to the public on Saturday night in The Baronial Hall in Lough Rynn Castle Hotel and for a project first mooted 27 years ago, it was certainly worth the way as joint editors Maureen Lynch and Des Keegan produced an epic tome, a treasure for any Mohill person and a treat for anyone with a love for Leitrim GAA.

On a wonderfully warm and uplifting community, Mohill GAA celebrated their community spirit with some brilliant speeches from Des Keegan, Leitrim County Board Chairman Terence Boyle and Club Chairman Padraig McLoughlin.

But there was no doubt that the star of the show was GAA President Aogán Ó Fearghail who spoke with warmth and affection and provided some great snippets from the book, none more so than in the acccompanying video clip where a tale of Gallogly's Bus was retold to great merriment.

See this week's Leitrim Observer for more coverage of the launch of "Clear the Way - History of the Mohill GAA Club 1889 - 2015".
