Keshcarrigan has always managed to draw a huge crowd with its truly unique parades and this year promises to be better than ever.

The St Patrick’s Day parade will be held in the village on Sunday, September 16 at 4.30pm.

Anyone interested in putting together a float for the occasion - big or small - should gather at Gerties Bar and Restaurant at 4.15pm.

The parade will be led by the Kiltubrid Pipe band and there will also be street entertainment, stalls, vintage cars and fancy dress.

The parade will also give a chance for all the new babies in the area, including a large number of twins, to get their official introduction to St Patrick’s own ‘Twin’, Padraig Eile.

It will be a chance for the people of the locality to wake up after a long hard winter and all are welcome to attend.

Don’t forget there will also be music in Gerties Bar at 5pm with Alan Clarke followed by the St Patrick’s Night Party.
