We would like to say a huge thank you to all who came and supported our craft fair in aid of Pieta House yesterday in the GAA complex in Newtownforbes, We had a very impressive turnout of traders and crafters without whose support the event would not have been the success it was. A special word of thanks to Seamus Farrell who provided us with PA system free of charge - Seamus delivered and set up the system for us and we are very grateful. A very big thank you to all who came and supported the fair- buying from the stands and supporting the raffle. Many thanks also to Tommy O Malley who sponsored the fabulous hamper and to all the traders who gave gifts to the raffle and to those who donated raffle prizes even though they could not be there themselves. A huge thank you to the “crew” on the day- Neil & Tony Devlin, Olive and Seamus Quinn and Allen Cox. Without all their help in getting the venue ready, directing people, selling raffle tickets, manning stalls there is no way we would have been able to pull it off. Our aim on the day was to raise funds and awareness for Pieta House and we achieved all of that and more. Once we have paid our rent for the hall (which thankfully was the only expense we had) we will have a “tidy sum” for Pieta & we hope to be able to organise a formal presentation of same in the not too distant future. Again thank you all so much. The spirit of generosity is very much alive and well and is very much appreciated.
Our training continues every Monday evening from 7.30 -8.30pm in GAA Complex, Newtownforbes and on Wednesday from 7-8pm in Kilglass GAA centre. Our next squad training is on Sunday, 7th December- please contact Ann for details. New members are always welcome- your first class is free- for further information please contact Ann Devlin on 087 9248816.
