The Tidy Towns Committee in Partnership with the Rural Social Scheme, TUS and Village folk to clean the three approach roads into the Village, other wee roads in and about the Village and any other litter scattered about and that never ending mess by the Bring/Bottle Bank. Businesses can clean up in and around their premises. Individuals and Residents can begin preparing their gardens for the Tidy Towns Competition. Remember, the Adjudicator will be visiting sometime between the 1st of June to mid July. We must do better than last year. For the Adjudicator let us leave a Tidy Town again this year.

We would like to take some photos of those working over the two days and we can also use these in our Tidy Towns Application Form. We will link the Spring Clean with Waste Minimisation awareness. This is a programme your Committee will make a more concerted effort with later in the year; we need to bring it to the forefront of our everyday needs. Your involvement in this event adds to our points earned in the Tidy Towns Competition. Let us all make an effort, not just on the 12th and 13th of this month, but everyday for the betterment of our Village. The committee along with Mary can give you more information: Robert Richardson (Chairman) Dennis Hardman (Secretary) or Martina Gorby of Newtowngore Post Office (Secretary).
