David Rawle starred in iconic sitcom Moone Boy with Chris O'Dowd who co-starred in the series as well
A well-known Leitrim actor is to star in The Delirium Archive, described as a "bold and emotionally charged new work" by playwright Shane Mac an Bhaird, making its world premiere at Project Arts Centre.
The star of much-loved sitcom Moone Boy, which was co-written by and co-starred Chris O'Dowd, David Rawle will take on the role of Vassilinki.
Moone Boy was a semi-autobiographical of Chris O'Dowd and focuses on a young boy's life growing up in Boyle, Roscommon, in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Actor and writer David Rawle, originally from Leitrim and a graduate of The Lir Academy, recently performed his new play Amsterdam to a sold-out run at Glass Mask Theatre (Dublin Fringe Festival). Previous theatre includes Youth’s the Season (Abbey Theatre) and The Borrowers (Gate Theatre). Screen credits include Pixie, Song of the Sea, Falling for the Life of Alex Whelan as well as Moone Boy.

The Delirium Archive follows the O’Connor family, who have lived in lockdown on the Mayo coast, sealed inside their home by a mysterious, toxic yellow fog. Selected for a breakthrough memory‑collection trial, they have been promised a digital life raft in a decaying world:a future where every confession, every truth, and every piece of them will live forever inside the Delirium Corporation’s Archive.
But when a corporate agent arrives to complete the process, doubt begins to seep in. Can technology truly capture the intricacies of love and family? And who gets to decide what is preserved forever?
A gripping exploration of identity, trust, and the fallibility of memory, The Delirium Archive interrogates our faith in technology and the stories we choose – or refuse – to tell.
