Annual Vintage and Family Day in Ballinamore this Sunday

South Leitrim West Cavan Vintage Tractor Club are holding their Annual Vintage and Family Day at St. Felim's, Ballinamore (N41 XR97) this Sunday the 4th of June from 12pm.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that supported our shows in previous years which raised some much needed funds for both local and national causes,” a spokesperson said.

This year's show is once again in aid of several very worthy causes including The Gavin Glynn Foundation who assist families with all the logistics and financial aspects of travelling overseas for specialist cancer treatment not available in Ireland.

They will also be raising money for the Patient Comfort Fund Ballinamore Nursing Unit and Drumreilly Community Afterschool.

A raffle will be held on the day for a number of fantastic prizes with the proceeds also going to these causes.

There will be a large display of all makes of vintage cars, tractors, commercials, stationary engines, motorbikes and everything in between.

There will be a special display to commemorate air-cooled tractors including makes such as Porsche, Allgaier and Deutz.

A number of traditional crafts will be on display including tinsmithry, basket making and more as well as a large autojumble with everything from antiques to parts and tools on sale.

The fantastic Mr. Kevin Logue will be performing live on the stage from 1pm so make sure to bring your dancing shoes!

The organisers are delighted to be in a position once again to offer FREE kids entertainment including bouncy castles, model digger driving, model farm machinery display and model trains.

The fully stocked on-site canteen will be providing some delicious home baked goods on the day so be sure to drop in and fuel up for the day.

A fun-filled day for all the family is guaranteed!

Gates are open to the public from 12pm (exhibitor entry from 10am) and adult admission is €10 with accompanying children FREE.
