Cllr Caillian Ellis
Cllr Caillian Ellis proposed that Ballinamore Municipal District resurface Local Road No L1511 in the townland of Cornafostra, Fenagh as soon as possible.
He was speaking at the latest Ballinamore municipal district meeting.
A report by Roads responded that the council have the agreed Restoration Improvement Grant for this year as part of the three year plan.
It added: "However, if additional funds arrive this year for the Roadworks Programme, we can include it this year. Otherwise, it will be placed on the 2025 Annual Restoration Improvement Grant Programme."
Darragh O'Boyle, district engineer for Leitrim County Council said that as it's an election year, "we might get a few more quid off the big house; there's a good chance we'll get it done this year and if not, it's the first one of next year's programme."
