Mohill
Cllr Thomas Mulligan asked that the footpaths in Mohill, other than Main Street, receive power sweeping/power washing.
He was speaking at the latest Carrick-on-Shannon municipal district this week.
A report by the Roads office said that councils do not have a budget to power wash all the footpaths in Mohill.
"If there is a particular area which is of concern, we can programme this particular area into our schedule of work. We are hoping to carry out repair to certain footpaths once the urban renewal works are completed," the response concluded.
Cllr Enda Stenson supported the motion as did Cllr Sean McGowan.
Darragh O'Boyle, district engineer, said the work may be carried out in the third quarter of this year.
