To celebrate the latest Gold medal award and all the work done during the year by Carrick-on-Shannon Tidy Towns, the group members were treated to a wonderful evening in The Landmark Hotel courtesy of Ciaran and John Kelly and his hardworking team.
The local Tidy Towns thanked them most sincerely for the opportunity for them all to be together for a fun evening with music, dancing, singing and lots of food and drinks.
Work around the town continues with John and the Lads ( Stephen, Wahab, Miguel and Dima).
Carrick-on-Shannon Social Tuesdays have started for the Winter months, meeting in The Chamber Office at 7pm.
Yaryna and Darina, 2 of our youth Volunteers ,with a little help from the Lads, completed an Art project, at the gate to our Depot, a mosaic made from painted stones , it makes a great feature here.
Over 5000 Spring Bulbs, mostly Snowdrops, Crocuses and Daffodils were planted up at the weekend in Tearman Park. Pollinator friendly flowers in the Spring will provide early pollen for the emerging Bees and welcome colour for us.
Don't forget our Big Orange Bins dotted around the town to help us recycle any returnable bottles and cans.
All donations also help us to raise funds.
Sunday Morning Litter Picks, meeting at 10am at the Tourist Office, tea/coffee afterwards. All you need is provided, just come along!
