Planning permission granted for Advanced Technology Facility in Leitrim

Leitrim County Council has granted planning permission to Leitrim Enterprise Fund to construct a new Advanced Technology Unit.

The development will be constructed at the IDA Business and Technology Park in Carrick-on-Shannon.

The proposal includes a 1,512sqm industrial unit with four loading bays at the rear, a 512sqm two-storey office and reception area to front comprising 269.5sqm at ground level and 242.5sqm at first floor level.

It includes 56 parking spaces and five disabled spaces, access via an existing entry point, a bicycle stand, electric vehicle charging station, solar panels, a greywater system with underground storage tanks, and connections to site services with all related works.

The proposal, currently under review by Leitrim County Council, seeks to build a state-of-the-art industrial unit and office space

There are 20 conditions attached with the planning. One explains that machinery from areas contaminated with knotweed or other invasives must be thoroughly cleaned and power-washed before entering the site. 

All topsoil brought in must be free of invasive species material.

Another condition says site development and building works will only be carried out between the hours of 8:00am to 7:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am to 2:00pm on Saturdays.
