The Sligo-Leitrim division of An Garda Síochána are hosting an open day in the Landmark Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon on Wednesday, February 19 from 5pm to 9pm.
This event is part of a Garda recruitment drive that began on February 6 and will close on February 27.
Interested candidates have until 3pm on Thursday, February 27 to submit their applications.
Garda trainees will pursue a Level 7 Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Policing, accredited by the University of Limerick.
During their 36 weeks of training, trainees receive an allowance of €354 per week with accommodation and meals provided at the Garda College in Templemore from Sunday to Friday.
Upon completing their training, recruits will begin with a salary of over €35,000 and will also be paid throughout their training period.
The Carrick-on-Shannon open day is open to all, offering an opportunity to meet Gardaí with varying levels of experience and learn more about a career with An Garda Síochána.
