Long awaited car park upgrades could be on the way for Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim.
Iarnród Éireann sent a response to the Carrick-on-Shannon municipal district stating that there are possible upgrades in the pipeline for car parking facilities in Carrick-on-Shannon.
The transport company said they had identified Carrick-on-Shannon as a "priority station for car park expansion within the Iarnród Éireann National Carpark Strategy and engagement previously took place with local landowners with a view to agreeing to a suitable site for car park expansion."
